We are currently in the stages of needing Voice-Over Actors for a couple of the characters in the story. You will be directly quoting some of the lines that were said in real life (from Trial transcripts, to interviews) from the people you will be portraying.
I want to also stress that, with the subject matter being on racism, you must be open to some offensive language. These are real quotes and will be word for word from the killer's mouths.
Please attach a headshot, and links to previous work if you are able. Or if you are up for it, a monologue with a southern (preferable Mississippi) accent.
One of the half-brothers who was acquitted for the killing of Emmett Till
30-40yo / White Male
Preferably a Mississippi or southern accent is required, or at least able enough to cheat it. If you are familiar with Mississippi dialect that is a huge plus! He was J.W’s accomplice in the murder and half-brother. Roy is not as out-spoken or violent as J.W. but is equally as dangerous.
The brother-in-law of the woman who was whistled at. Aka - One of the murderers of Emmett Till. A half-brother to Roy Bryant.
30-45yo / White Male
Also has a thick Mississippi accent. J.W. has a bit more lines than Roy. He was described by many as someone who just liked to kill. He’s mean, ego-driven, and ignorant through and through. Someone you wouldn’t want to mess with. He was just a violent person who would kill at the drop of a hat.
